What's new in Lightspeed Retail (X-Series)
Lightspeed Retail POS
Update
Improvements to the bulk import tool
When importing products into Retail POS, the mapping fields process has been improved:
- You no longer have to scroll horizontally when mapping columns, you can now make updates by scrolling down the page.
- You can now use AI (sparkle icon) to intelligently match fields between your CSV file and Retail POS fields.
Some feature rollouts are in progress and may not be available in your account.
Update
View total purchase order quantity and cost
You can now view the total quantity and cost of purchase orders on the Stock Control page for improved high-level visibility on your inventory.
Update
Edit partially received purchase orders
You can now edit purchase orders that have been partially received. Once an order has been partially received and has deliveries in Draft, Sent, or Dispatched states, users with appropriate permissions can:
- Add new line items to the order.
- Increase or decrease line item quantities.
- Set line item quantities to zero.
Any updates made to the purchase order automatically sync to the associated draft or dispatched delivery records, making the PO the source of truth and maintaining consistency across Retail POS.
Update
Enhanced addresses in customer profiles
Entering and managing addresses has been improved in Retail POS:
- Mailing address is now Billing address and Physical address is now Shipping address.
- Google Autocomplete has been added to address fields to improve speed and accuracy of entries.
- ZIP and postal codes (US and Canada) are validated by format.
- US states and Canadian provinces can be selected from a dropdown list.
This update allows for further shipping feature improvements.
Update
Multiple line items consolidated into one
Adding or scanning multiple instances of the same product during a sale will automatically combine the entries into a single line item by default to help streamline checkout and shorten receipts. This feature is currently available in Training mode only.
Update
New and improved Edit transfer page
The design of the Edit transfer page has been refreshed and now allows you to update transfers in one place for streamlined transfer management.
Update
New Recommendations filter to exclude products in unfulfilled sales
To prevent accidental over-ordering, the Recommendations modal has a new filter to exclude products from unfulfilled sales that are already in open orders.
Lightspeed eCom (E-Series)
New
Add custom dropdowns to your site header
The new Instant Site navigation menu lets you add custom dropdowns to your website header, including custom links within dropdown menus, giving your more control over dropdown content and flexibility in setting up website navigation.
Update
Improvements to the omnichannel order cancellation flow
Paid online orders that were cancelled in eCom are now properly reflected in Retail POS, for greater consistency and more accurate inventory management across channels.
Update
Updates to notifications in the navigation bar
In an earlier update, eCom order notifications were added to the Retail POS top navigation bar (bell icon). To keep things more organized, notifications will only be visible for 2 weeks and then removed automatically after that time.
If you don’t have any recent notifications, you will see the You have no new notifications message (and your Retail POS pigeon) in the notification area.
New
Add size charts to products in your eCom store
You can add customizable size charts to product categories in your online store so customers can open a popup to view product sizes and measurement tips.
