Discounts affect the loyalty amounts of your products depending on what type of loyalty amount you set for your products. You can set two types of loyalty amounts:

• Custom loyalty amounts: You set fixed loyalty amounts for specific products.

  

• Regular loyalty amounts: The loyalty amount of your products is determined by the loyalty percentage (earning ratio) in your Loyalty settings.

  

When you discount products with custom loyalty amounts, customers will earn loyalty based on the full price of the products. This also applies to either a percentage or dollar discount when you manually discount products using the Discount button.

When you discount products with regular loyalty amounts, customers will earn loyalty based on the new price of the products.
