After you connect Lightspeed eCom to Retail POS, you can use the Lightspeed eCom mobile app for iOS or Android to manage your online store and site on the go. You can edit products enabled for eCom, manage online orders, get notifications on your smartphone, and more.
Download and log in to the Lightspeed eCom app
To start using the Lightspeed eCom app, install it on your device and log in to your account:
- From your Retail POS, go to Online > Go to eCom (E-Series).

In the menu on the left, click Mobile, then click Get the App and scan the QR code with your mobile device.
- The Lightspeed eCom (E-Series) app page in the App Store or Google Play will open.
- Install the app and open it.
- Tap Log in > Log In with QR Code on the app screen.
- On the Mobile page in your eCom Admin Panel, scan the QR code with your mobile device again.
You will be immediately logged in to the Lightspeed eCom app.
What you can do with the Lightspeed eCom app
You can use the Lightspeed eCom app both when you are just starting out or have experience with eCom. Within the app, you can:
Set up your online store: add and edit payment and shipments methods, add your business info, manage announcements on your website.
Add product images: take a product photo with your phone or upload existing images.
Manage products: add or edit product descriptions (including generating and formatting descriptions with AI); add ribbons, subtitles, and online-specific attributes; edit shipping methods for a specific product; add SEO descriptions and related products and set discount prices.
Changes you make to product descriptions in the app are synced to products both in eCom and in your Retail POS.
Manage categories: add or delete online-specific categories; assign products to categories.
Process orders: change order statuses and assign tracking numbers. View sales information: purchased items, specific product options selected, shipping address and contact details.
View reports: track your store's performance and add selected metrics as mobile widgets.
Use the barcode scanner: easily find products and orders. It helps to track your inventory and shipments.
Manage product reviews: view, publish, and delete reviews customers left for the products they purchased from you. Enable or disable reviews for particular products.
Receive push notifications: get notified on your mobile screen each time you have an order or a new product review.
And more, including viewing and managing abandoned carts, customer details, setting up discount coupons, promotions, and automated marketing emails.
Installing mobile widgets in the the Lightspeed eCom app
Widgets are dynamic interface elements that allow you to quickly access certain app data without opening the app itself. Lightspeed eCom app users can add customizable store report widgets to their device screens to get at-a-glance insights into their business performance.
Widgets are supported on all Android devices. On iOS devices, you should have iOS 17 or higher.
Lightspeed eCom mobile widgets help you view one of the following ecommerce metrics:
- Revenue
- Average order value
- Orders
- Visitors
- Conversion
On your iOS device, you can install two Lightspeed eCom widgets — one on the home screen and one on the lock screen. On Android devices, you can install multiple widgets on your home screen.
To install Lightspeed eCom mobile widgets on your device:
iOS
- Install the Lightspeed eCom mobile app for iOS.
- Tap and hold an empty space on your device screen.
- Tap Edit and choose Add Widget.
- Scroll down and tap the Lightspeed eCom app.
- Choose the widget layout, then tap Add Widget.
- Tap Done.
- (optional) Tap the widget to edit it.
Android
- Install the Lightspeed eCom mobile app for Android.
- Tap and hold an empty space on your device screen.
- Tap Widgets.
- Scroll down and tap the Lightspeed eCom app widget.
- Tap Save.
- (optional) Tap the widget to edit it.
Now, you can see an overview of your store’s metrics right on your device screen and check your store's performance without needing to open the app. Widget data will be refreshed every hour. To access the full version of your store reports in the app, simply tap the widget.
Customizing mobile widgets in the the Lightspeed eCom app
You can customize your widgets to choose the metric you want to track the most. You can also select the time period shown on the widget and control the widget size.
Additionally, on iOS devices, you can enable or disable the 'short number format' mode that shortens or rounds numbers for convenience (like displaying '$16k' instead of '16,352' for total revenue), which is particularly useful for smaller widgets.
To customize Lightspeed eCom mobile widgets on your device:
iOS
- Install the Lightspeed eCom mobile widget on your device.
- Tap the widget.
- Choose a different widget layout or tap Edit Widget to customize its period, preferred store metric, or manage the number format.
Android
- Install the Lightspeed eCom mobile widget on your device.
- Tap the widget to resize it or long-tap the widget to customize its period and preferred store metric.
You’ve customized your widget. The information displayed on it will seamlessly adapt.
