Objective

To donate or give away gift cards to customers and have it recorded in Retail POS's reporting.

Setup

•  Retail POS for Mac or PC

Steps

Create a new payment type

1. Sign in as an admin user
2. Click on Setup
3. Click Payment types
4. Click Add Payment Type
5. Select Other Payment Type as the payment type
6. Name the payment type "Gift Card Donation"
7. Click Save

Selling the Gift card

1. Select the Gift Card product
2. Type/Scan the Gift Card number
3. Enter the Gift card Value
4. Click Pay and select the payment type: Gift Card Donation
