Why does the Home Dashboard show that I have sold a different amount than the Sales Report shows?

When viewing the Home Dashboard by month, why does the revenue comparison show a different amount than the Sales Report does?

Answer

The Home Dashboard compares the revenue for the current and previous month starting from the same day of the week rather than the first day of each month. For example, Retail POS compares the revenue you made on the first Monday of October to the revenue generated on the first Monday of September. Therefore, the date range of the current month starts on the 1st, whilst on the previous month it starts on the 3rd:

Additional Information

You can always compare the revenue of two full calendar months using a Sales Report.
