The DYMO 450 Turbo lets you print product labels from your desktop device through a USB connection. You'll need to install the latest DYMO software in order to print. Once that's done, you can set up and test your DYMO printer.
Before installing up your DYMO 450 Turbo printer, make sure you have supported labels. While DYMO makes a range of different label sizes, Retail POS is compatible with these labels: 11352 (1" x 2-1/8"), 30336 (1" x 2-1/8"), and 30373 (jewelry/rat-tail).
Installing the latest DYMO software
Before you set up your DYMO printer, you'll need to make sure you're using the latest version of DYMO Connect.
- Go to the DYMO downloads page.
- Choose The Latest Software & Drivers for all LabelWriters and LabelManager dropdown.
- Click the Download button under your device.
- Open the downloaded file and follow the steps in the DYMO Setup Wizard to install the software.
- Connect your DYMO label printer to your computer with the USB cable provided.
- Load your labels into your printer. Check the printer manual for instructions, or DYMO's support documentation.
Once you've installed the software and drivers, you're ready to install your DYMO Label Printer.

Setting the print preferences in Windows
Once the drivers have been downloaded and the printer connected, you'll need to set the print preferences in Windows.
- Open the Start menu and navigate to the Control Panel.
- Select Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the DYMO printer and select Printer Properties.
- In the Printer Properties window, click Preferences > Advanced. This opens a window that displays the printer settings.
- Check under the Paper/Output header to confirm that Paper Size matches the labels you loaded earlier.

Adding the printer to your Mac
Once the drivers have been downloaded and the printer connected, you may need to add the printer in order for your Mac to detect it:
- Open System settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Click Add Printer, Scanner or Fax...
- Select your printer.
- Click Add.

Setting up the correct printer size
- From the device linked to the printer, open your web browser and navigate to http://localhost:631/printers/ If you receive a Web Interface is Disabled error, follow the steps in Enabling CUPS Printer Interface for Mac.
- Click Printers from the top menu and select DYMO LabelWriter 450 Turbo.
- Click the second dropdown menu and select Set Default Options.
- Under General, click the Media Size dropdown and select your label size code. If you can't find your size, select Custom Page Size and input your label dimensions.
- Click Set Default Options to save.
Setting the label printing format in Retail POS
Once you've confirmed your print preferences on your device, you'll need to update your label printer format in Retail POS.
- Navigate to Setup > General.
- From the Label printer format dropdown, select Continuous feed.
- Click Save changes.
Printing test labels
To ensure the setup has been done correctly, test print a few labels from Retail POS:
- Navigate to Catalog > Products.
- Choose a product and click to expand it.
- Click Print labels...
- Input the quantity of labels to print. A run of 5 or more labels will show if the alignment is correct.
- Click Next.
- Confirm the settings are correct and click Print.
- In the Chrome Print Preview screen, click More settings.
- Select the Paper Size dropdown.
- Select your label size code (or nearest label size code) and click Print.
