Why should I use a separate register for my e-Commerce integration?

For retailers integrated with an e-Commerce platform (BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or Shopify), we recommend keeping your online store register separate to the register you use in store.

This will avoid instances where the register is opened outside of physical opening hours — if the register that is synced with your online store is closed and you receive an order, it will re-open the register automatically.

Setting up a separate register helps to ensure all your reporting is clear and kept separate between your brick and mortar store and your online sales. You'll be able to filter your Sales reports by the online register.
