How to import existing gift cards with a csv file

Objective

To import gift cards in bulk with a CSV file.

Setup

  • Retail POS for Mac or PC
  • CSV file template 

Steps

Preparing the CSV file

  1. Download the CSV file template here
  2. Add the gift cards number to the number column
  3. Add the gift cards balance to the balance column
  4. Save the file

Importing the CSV file

  1. Navigate to Catalog -> Gift Cards
  2. Click Import CSV at the bottom of the page
  3. Browse through your directory and select CSV file you prepared

Additional Information

Do not include any special characters in your CSV such as dollar signs or ampersands ($ or &), this will prevent you from uploading the file as only alphanumeric characters will be accepted.
