How to enable customer Loyalty for a specific brand or product category

Setup

  • Retail POS for Mac or PC

Steps

  1. Navigate to Setup
  2. Select Loyalty
  3. Enable Loyalty
  4. Click Save
  5. Navigate to Products
  6. Export complete Product List
  7. Open the CSV file and edit it so loyalty_value column is set to 0 and loyalty_value_default is empty
  8. Click Save
  9. Import Product List 

This will ensure Loyalty is enabled but is effectively inactive for all products as all Loyalty Value is set at 0. Then, to enable loyalty for a specific Brand/Product category

  1. Navigate to Products
  2. Select preferred Brand/Product category
  3. Click Apply Filter
  4. Export Product List
  5. Edit the CSV file so that both loyalty_value and loyalty_value_default are blank
  6. Import Product List

This will enable Default Loyalty for all the imported Products; calculated on the $1 = X Loyalty ratio you've set up in the Loyalty page in Setup.

Additional Information

To have a custom loyalty amount earned instead of the default Retail POS calculates, you can enter a custom amount by editing the loyalty_value column with the desired value upon CSV import.
