Objective

Compare the counted cash in the register to the expected cash without closing the register.

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC
• Retail POS on iPad

Steps

Retail POS for Mac or PC

1. Click Sell
2. Click Open/Close
3. The expected cash will appear on the close-out screen, which you can compare to the cash in your drawer
4. Once the spot check is complete, click Sell to leave the close-out screen

Retail POS on iPad

1. Tap to open the side menu
2. Tap Close Register
3. Tap Close Register once again
4. The expected cash will appear on the close-out screen, which you can compare to the cash in your drawer
5. Once the spot check is complete, tap Cancel 
6. Tap Cancel to confirm
7. Tap to open the side menu
8. Tap Sell to continue selling
