Wrong Sales Tax is being applied to Products after updating it

Problem

When changing to a different Sales Tax on a Tax Inclusive store, the older Sales Tax still shows on the Sell screen.

Setup

  • Retail POS for Mac or PC
  • Retail POS on iPad 

Cause

The reason this may be happening is that while Retail POS is cloud-based, it saves a lot of data locally on the browser for quick access. This may end up with the older Sales Tax being applied to Products on the Sell screen. 

Solution

To resolve this, clear the cached and local files on your Chrome browser or iPad. The updated Sales Tax should be correctly applied afterwards.
