Hi. How can we help?

Managing cross-location fulfillment

Cross-location fulfillment allows businesses with multiple locations to select where an order will be fulfilled from.

When you sell an item from another location, the payment and sales record will be recorded from the outlet where the customer paid. However, the item's inventory will be deducted from the location that provided the item.

Enabling cross-location fulfillment

Before using cross-location fulfillment, a user with Admin access must enable the feature. To do this:

  1. Navigate to Setup > Fulfillment.
  2. Toggle on Cross-outlet fulfillment.

Fulfillment page with Cross-outlet fulfillment toggle displayed.

  3. In the Action dropdown for each location, select how you want the location to manage cross-outlet fulfillment.

    • Provide and reserve stock: The location can share stock across other outlets with cross-outlet fulfillment enabled. This includes providing stock to other locations and reserving stock at other locations.
    • Provide stock to other outlets: Other outlets can receive stock from this location, but this location can't reserve stock from other outlets.
    • Reserve stock from other outlets: This location can reserve stock from other outlets, but not provide stock to other outlets.
    • Not participating: This location can't share stock across other outlets.

You can bulk update multiple location settings by checking the box for each location, clicking Edit, and choosing the appropriate cross-outlet fulfillment option.

Changes made to a customer's address using this method apply only to the sale and are not reflected in the customer's profile.

You can check the status of your cross-location fulfillment and edit its progress.
