Hi. How can we help?

Adding a link to your site checkout to sell on Facebook and Instagram by Meta (for US stores)

When you sell products on Facebook or Instagram, customers add products on Meta’s social platforms and are then redirected to your store checkout with those items in their cart. In order for this to work, Meta needs to know the link to your store’s checkout page.

There are two ways to provide your store’s checkout link to Meta:

  • Automatically: Upon connecting your eCom store to Facebook and Instagram. If your store is already connected, you can reconnect it.
  • Manually: In case you’ve already connected your catalog to Facebook and don’t want to reconnect it, you need to add a link to your Meta Commerce account.

The instructions apply to the US-based shops only. If your business is located in any of the 21 countries approved to sell on Meta you can continue to use Facebook and Instagram Shopping as usual. To add your site checkout URL to your Meta Commerce manager account after connecting eCom to Facebook:

  1. From your POS, go to Online and switch to the Facebook page.
  2. Scroll to the Connect Facebook checkout method section and click Copy Checkout URL:

  5. Click Edit.
  6. If your Facebook Commerce Account is already set up, enter the URL you’ve copied in Step 1 and click Next:

If you set up your Commerce Account for the first time, follow the wizard. On the second step of the wizard, tick the I've built a checkout endpoint on my site checkbox and in the Enter checkout URL field, enter the checkout URL you copied in the Step 1.
  7. To test the connection, select any two products from the dropdown, set their quantities as if making a purchase, then click Next.
  8. (optional) If you have a promo code in your store, enter it in the field to test how it will work with selling on Meta. If not, proceed to the next step. Click Create test order.
  9. (optional) Click the link that will appear in the popup to see how your website checkout will appear for customers who finalize their order through Meta’s in-app browsers.
  10. In the popup in your Commerce Manager account, click Done.
