Cashiers can now input cash denominations directly into their register closure and totals will be calculated automatically. This streamlines register closures, reduces errors, and helps build trust in your financial records.

Streamlined serial number input flow on the Sell screen
You no longer need to have a serial number on hand when a sale is created. When a serialized item is marked for fulfillment, you can now skip adding a serial number on the Sell screen.

Updates to default manager permissions
Previously, the ability to edit the quick keys layout and add or edit cashiers were default permissions for Managers. Now, you can choose if these functions are included, giving you more control over staff roles and permissions.

If you or your development team are using the Lightspeed Retail API platform, you can now make single or bulk updates to customer tax rates through the Customer API.

New Inventory turns report
Merchants with Lightspeed Insights can use the new Inventory turns report to better assess inventory performance and get a comprehensive view of which brands and categories have been driving business.

Category levels now available in inventory reporting
Like sales reporting, inventory reporting now supports top-level categories and product subcategories (ex. Wine > White Wine > Sauvignon Blanc) to help you optimize your inventory management and compare performance across similar categories, like White Wine vs Red Wine.

View inventory levels when printing labels
When going through the label printing flow, you can now view the total available inventory for each product to help decide how many labels to print. Save time by clicking Apply inventory to apply the totals from the Inventory column to the Quantity column.
eCom (E-Series)

Generate AI product descriptions on the product page
Use the new AI description generator to streamline your product description workflow. You can now generate or improve product descriptions directly from the product's page.

Improvements to the Lightspeed Payments experience
Updates have been made to the online checkout experience:
- Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link are now activated automatically to remove the need for manual setup.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay have been moved to the payment selection step, ensuring shoppers don't skip order details during express checkout.
- A Lightspeed Payments one-click checkout has been added as an alternative for Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- The payment form has been improved and automatically matches the store's custom branding.
In your Financial Services merchant portal:
- Your eCom (E-Series) online store now appears as a location so you can manage transactions, reporting, and payouts in one place.
- New merchants who have already been approved for Lightspeed Payments no longer need to re-apply for online stores.

Set custom online prices with price books
To give you more control over online pricing and reduce duplicate manual effort, price books can now be applied to both in-store and online products directly in Retail POS. Once saved, these prices can be combined with discounts and promotional campaigns.

When you create a promo for online only or for in-store and online, you can now:
- Set up promos on the cart subtotal.
- Set up BOGO promos.
- Run recurring promos.
- Set up promos on specific categories.
- Allow customers to earn Loyalty rewards on discounted items.

New and improved section options for eCom sites
Build out your eCom site with new sections and improved editing options:
- Add a contact widget to your site to add a Contact Us button on each page of your Instant Site.
- Build custom sections and templates with AI to create a custom website.
- Hide, move, and duplicate your site sections with editing options located under the three dots menu at the top of the section.

Improved customer profile sync
You can now sync customer groups, emails, and marketing email preferences between Retail POS and eCom (E-Series). After syncing, profiles are stored on the Customers page in Retail POS and stay synced with eCom. The sync allows you to run promotions through customer groups both online and in-store.

The Retail (X) app version 6.7.0 and Display (X) version 5.0.0 app have been released. Improvements to the communication layer between the register and customer-facing display means a more reliable and secure connection.
