Steps

For Standard Products:

1. Navigate to Catalog -> Products
2. Use the filters to select the products
3. Click Export List...
4. Open the downloaded file
5. Edit the handles as required
6. Save the file
7. Navigate back to Catalog -> Products
8. Click Import
9. Import the file

For Variant Products: 
Variant product handles cannot be edited the same as standard product.
For the most prompt approach:

1. Navigate to Catalog -> Products
2. Locate the product and click the product name
3. Click Delete Product
4. Navigate back to Catalog -> Products
5. Click Add product to re-create the product
