Convert your LAN receipt printer into a wireless connection using the Star Wifi Dongle, allowing you to connect the receipt printer to the Retail POS app on iPad via WiFi.

Configure your Star Wifi Dongle

1. Connect your receipt printer to a power source using the provided power cable and turn it on.
2. Connect the Star Wifi Dongle to your receipt printer using the provided USB cable.
   
3. Press and hold the reset button on the Star Wifi Dongle for 5 seconds or more.
4. When the POWER LED flashes release the reset button to start the initialization.
   

Install the Star Quick Setup Utility app

1. On your iPad, turn on WiFi in the settings.
2. Download the Star Quick Setup Utility app.
3. Open the Star Quick Setup Utility app and tap Start Guide (Initial Settings) followed by Use Star Wireless LAN unit.
   
4. Follow the in-app wizard instructions to configure the wireless settings.

Connect your receipt printer via Wifi

1. Open the Retail POS app
2. Navigate to Menu > Settings and tap Hardware.
3. Tap Add printer.
   
4. In the Connected printers section, select your printer model and tap Next.
   
5. Your printer is now connected to Retail POS. To complete the setup, you can rename your printer (optional), perform a Test (optional), then tap Finish.
