How to make a partial payment when starting an on account or layby sale

Objective

Partially pay off an on account sale when starting the sale.

Setup

  • Retail POS for Mac or PC 

Steps

  1. Click Sell
  2. Click Add a customer
  3. Type the name of the customer you want to add
  4. Click the name of the customer when it appears on screen
  5. Add your products to the sale 
  6. Click Pay
  7. Type in the amount of the partial payment
  8. Click the payment type
  9. Confirm the payment by clicking on the amount when it appears on screen
  10. Scroll down to the bottom of the page
  11. Click On Account or Layby
