How to resync data on the Retail POS (X-Series) App

The Retail POS app downloads a copy of your products to your iPad so that it is faster to use, and allows you to continue to make sales in case you disconnect from the Internet.

When you make changes to your products, especially if you have been trading offline, you might need to download a new copy of them.

Normally, this process is automatic, but if data does not appear to be syncing, you can resync it manually three ways:

Before performing any of the resyncing steps below, make sure there are no open sales and errored sales in the sell screen as these will be lost.

1. Quick resync:

  1. Tap the Menu (≡) icon
  2. Tap on the Online status
  3. Tap Sync all data

2. Hard resync:

  1. Tap the Menu (≡) icon
  2. Tap and hold on the Online status for 5 seconds

  4. Now sync all data by following the steps under option 1 (Quick Resync)

3. Restart the register (optional)

  1. Tap the Menu (≡) icon

  2. Tap on the username at the bottom of the meni
  3. In the user window tap on Log out

  4. Tap on Yes on the Are you sure? dialog box
  5. Tap on Exit Store

  6. Tap on Yes on the Are you sure? dialog box
  7. Open the Retail POS (X) app
  8. Enter in your Retail POS store address

  9. Enter your Username and Password

  10. Select your Register

  11. Now sync all data by following the steps under option 1 (Quick Resync)
