Lightspeed’s new customer-specific tax feature lets you efficiently sell to customers with different tax statuses. Apply a specific tax rate to the profile of an individual customer and that rate will automatically be applied to future sales for the customer.

It’s now easier to keep track of customer On Account purchases, balances, limits, and payments received. Access a history of your customers' On Account transactions via the Account tab available on the Sell screen, the Sale history page, or through the Customer page.

Optimize your inventory with the help of inventory insights, now available when generating a purchase order. After you’ve selected a product to order, expand the product row to view:

• Current inventory across all outlets
• Quantity on order
• Quantity on transfer
• Quantity sold (in the last 30 days)

Schedule and manage service sales with the service orders module

Merchants using the service orders module can now record the date and length of time a service job should be completed by when creating a new service sale. Existing service times already scheduled are displayed when scheduling a job to ensure services are booked within a store's daily capacity.
