Hi. How can we help?

Setting up your Dymo 550 and Dymo 550 Turbo label printer (USB)

The Dymo 550 and Dymo 550 Turbo require devices running macOS 10.15 and higher / Windows OS 8.1 and higher operating systems in order to be compatible.

What you need

In order to set up a Dymo 550 or Dymo 550 Turbo with your Windows PC or Mac, make sure you have the following:

Compatible labels

The Dymo 550 and Dymo 550 Turbo use Automatic Label Recognition and are only compatible with Dymo-manufactured labels. This allows the label printer to recognize and display the label size, type, and number of labels remaining, using RFID technology. Attempting to use other labels will result in the label printer being non-functional until the correct labels are installed.

While Dymo supports a range of different label sizes, Retail POS supports 11352 (1" x 2-1/8"), 30336 (1" x 2-1/8") and 30373 (rat-tail) Dymo labels.

For more information about compatible labels with the Dymo 550 and Dymo 550 Turbo, refer to our Dymo label sizes/codes article.
