Hi. How can we help?

Using the Reporter (X-Series) app for iOS

Keep an eye on your Retail POS store, even when you’re not there. The Reporter app for iOS puts your store’s data right in your pocket, giving you the peace of mind to step away without missing a beat.

Using the Reporter app

Signing in on your iOS device

Once downloaded, admin and manager users can sign into the Reporter app. Follow the steps below to sign in:

  1. Navigate through the welcome screen using the Next button to progress.
  2. Enter your store name and tap Next.
  3. Enter your username and password and tap Sign in.

Only admin and manager users can sign into the Reporter app.

Home Dashboard

Once signed in, Reporter gives you full access to the Retail POS Home Dashboard, which correlates core retail metrics into charts that display day-to-day data to track sales.

These can be filtered by Today, This Week and This Month time periods using the hover bar. Here you can also filter by outlet, with the default set to All Outlets.

Advanced Metrics are only available to retailers that are on Pro, Advanced or Enterprise plans. To learn more about plans and pricing, click here.

The default display is made up of My Sales Performance, Gross Profit and Top Products Sold metrics. More can be added and removed by taping the Show More Retail Metrics button.

Here you can add displays for Revenue, Sales with Customer, Sale Count, Average Sale Value Average Items per Sale, Discounted, and Top Sales People.

To learn more about each metric and how to make the most of these, refer to our Advanced Retail Metrics on the Home Dashboard article.

Viewing sales history

Using the Sales history tab, you can view all your sales in chronological order, from newest to oldest. Each sale will show the day and time, the amount, and a status tag for sales that are on account, layby, or unfulfilled.Retail-X-iOS-reporter-sales-history.png

You can filter sales by tapping the filter button at the top right of the page. Configure your search criteria for status, outlet, user, customer or by receipt number and tap Search.Retail-X-iOS-reporter-filter.png

You cannot void, edit, process a return, or export sales data through the Reporter app.

Monitoring user activity

Using the Activity tab, you can review account login activity by Retail POS users.

This allows you to monitor which users are signing in to your Retail POS account, when they are signing in and the details of the login, including IP address and device information.

Listed in chronological order from newest to oldest, each login activity is recorded by date and time, with the username and display name.

Tapping a specific login activity will display additional information including IP address, Device, Operating system and Browser.

For further information on monitoring login activity in Retail POS, refer to the Tracking user logins in Retail POS (X-Series) article.
