With the Lightspeed Reporter app, you can in increase the visibility of what’s happening in your store while you’re away by enabling register open and close notifications. Once enabled, the Reporter app will send a push notification every time a register is opened or closed for the day. Create peace of mind that your store is being opened and closed each day accurately and on time. 

This feature is available for iOS and Android.

Enabling notifications

• 1. Open the Reporter app and sign in using your credentials.
  2. Tap Activity.
  3. Tap the bell icon.
     

     

  4. Tap the tick boxes beside Register closing and Register opening then click Done.
     

     

  When a staff member opens or closes a register, you will receive a push notification with the time and location.

Additional information

• Only managers and admins can enable open and close notifications on the Reporter app.
• If you use cash management, notifications will include the name of the opening or closing staff member.
• A notification will be sent for every register for every location. For example, if you have two registers at one location, and three at another, you will receive 5 separate notifications at the time of individual register opening or closing.
• Tapping on the closed register notification will take you to the relevant closure report for that day.
