Manually processing payments with Worldpay triPOS

In certain situations, you may be required to manually enter your customer's credit card details into your Worldpay triPOS terminal, in order to process the payment. The process on how to manually process payments differs based on the Worldpay triPOS device you are using.


Verifone MX Series

To manually process payments with your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the sell screen and process the sale as normal.
  2. When presented with your payment options, select Worldpay triPOS.
  3. Retail POS will connect to your payment terminal. Once here, select Cancel on your terminal.
  4. A Card entry field will appear on your terminal screen. Once here, enter your customer's credit card number and press the O button.
  5. Enter the credit card's expiry date and press the O button.
  6. The payment amount will then appear on your terminal screen. Tap the O YES on the terminal screen to confirm the amount OR tap the X NO on the terminal screen to cancel the payment.
  7. Your customer will then have to provide you with the zip code that is associated with the credit card account. Enter this into the terminal and press the O button.
  8. The terminal will then return to the idle screen once the payment is successful.

Ingenico iSMP4

To manually process payments with your Ingenico iSMP4 device, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the sell screen and process the sale as normal.
  2. When presented with your payment options, select Worldpay triPOS.
  3. Retail POS will connect to your payment terminal.
  4. Select F1 on your terminal to Enter Card for manual entry.
  5. Follow the instructions on the terminal. First, enter your customer's credit card number and press the green enter button.
  6. Next, enter the expiry date, and press the green enter button.
  7. When the payment amount appears on the screen: Either select F3 to confirm or F4 to cancel the payment.
  8. Your customer will then have to provide you with the zip code that is associated with the credit card account. Enter this into the terminal and press the green enter button.
  9. The terminal will then return to the idle screen once the payment is successful.

Ingenico iPP 320/350

To manually process payments with your Ingenico iPP 320/350 device, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the sell screen and process the sale as normal.
  2. When presented with your payment options, select Worldpay triPOS.
  3. Retail POS will connect to your payment terminal.
  4. Select F1 on your terminal to Enter Card for manual entry.
  5. Follow the instructions on the terminal. First, enter your customer's credit card number and press the green enter button.
  6. Next, enter the expiry date, and press the green enter button.
  7. When the payment amount appears on the screen: Either select F3 to confirm or F4 to cancel the payment.
  8. Your customer will then have to provide you with the zip code that is associated with the credit card account. Enter this into the terminal and press the green enter button.

To manually process payments with your Ingenico iSC 250/480 device, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the sell screen and process the sale as normal.
  2. When presented with your payment options, select Worldpay triPOS.
  3. Retail POS will connect to your payment terminal.
  4. Select F1 on your terminal to Enter Card for manual entry.
  5. Follow the instructions on the terminal. First, enter your customer's credit card number and press the green enter button.
  6. Next, enter the expiry date, and press the green enter button.
  7. When the payment amount appears on the screen: Either select F3 to confirm or F4 to cancel the payment.
