Printing barcode labels (PO)

Printing barcode labels allows you to affix customer-facing information like pricing, product names, scannable barcodes, and SKU codes to your products to help process sales.

You can print barcodes from the Products page or from a purchase order.

Printing barcode labels from the Products page

To print barcode labels for individual products or in bulk from the Products page:

  1. Navigate to Catalog > Products.
  2. Locate the product to print labels for, using the filters if needed.
  3. If you're printing labels for one product, click its row to expand, then click Print labels.

    If you're printing labels for multiple products, check the boxes next to the product names to select, then click Choose an Action (# selected) > Print Labels.

  4. In the Quantity field, enter the number of labels needed per product, or click Apply inventory to print labels for all available inventory (the amount displayed in the Inventory column).

    If you no longer want to print labels for one of the products, uncheck its box.

  5. Click Next.
  6. From the Label type dropdown, select the label size you want to print, like Continuous feed for regular labels or Rat tail for jewelry labels. You can see a preview on the right.

  7. Choose what information is displayed on the labels by checking or unchecking the Barcode, Primary SKU code, Name, or Default retail price boxes. The preview on the right will update as you make changes.
  8. Click Print.
  9. In the print preview window, check that the correct label printer has been selected and the formatting is correct. You may need to configure the paper size.
  10. Click Print.
  11. Click Done to finish, or click Print again to reopen the print preview window or Back to adjust label quantities before printing.

Printing barcode labels from a purchase order

To print barcode labels for all products in a purchase order:

  1. Navigate to Inventory > Stock control > Orders.
  2. Locate the purchase order, using the filters if needed, then click its number to open the purchase order page.

  3. Click Print Labels.

    Labels will be generated for all products listed in the purchase order. The number of labels is determined by the Ordered quantity on the purchase order page.

    To print a different quantity, print labels from the Products page by following the steps in the previous section.

  4. Choose what information is displayed on the labels by checking or unchecking the Show price, Show name, Show barcode, or Show SKU boxes. The preview underneath will update as you make changes.

  5. Click Print.
  6. In the print preview window, check that the correct label printer has been selected and the formatting is correct. You may need to configure the paper size.
  7. Click Print.
