How to disable inventory tracking only for certain variant products?

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac and PC  

Answer

You can disable Track Inventory for certain variant products only via CSV.

1. Navigate to Catalog -> Products
2. Click Export List...
3. In the exported CSV file, look for the inventory current inventory columns and delete these
4. Then look for the column heading track_inventory and edit the number to be 0 for the product variants you want to disable tracking for and 1 for the variants that should track inventory
5. Save the CSV file
6. Navigate back to Catalog -> Products
7. Click Import
8. Drag and drop or browse the saved CSV file 
9. Click Continue with Import

Additional Information

• Any edits made to the Track Inventory option via the Edit Product page in Retail POS will alter inventory tracking of all the variants for that product
