How to edit on account sales that have posted to Xero or QuickBooks Online

Objective

Change the Customer or Sale Note on an On Account sale that has posted to Xero or QuickBooks Online

Setup

  •  Retail POS for Mac or PC

Steps

Change customer

  1. Navigate to Sell -> Sales History
  2. Filter by customer, receipt number, or sale note to locate the sale
  3. Click on the sale to expand 
  4. Click Edit
  5. Click on the delete Icon to remove the current customer from the sale
  6. Add the new customer
  7. Click Save Changes 

Add or edit Sale Note

  1. Navigate to Sell -> Sales History
  2. Filter by customer, receipt number, or sale note to locate the sale
  3. Click on the sale to expand 
  4. Click Edit
  5. Add or edit the Sale Note
  6. Click Save Changes 

Additional Information

If the on account sale is already synced to Xero or QuickBooks Online, the information needs to be edited manually on Xero or QuickBooks Online to match the updated information in Retail POS.
