Objective

To create a product with no price so that you can adjust the price on the sell screen.

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC

Steps

1. Navigate to Catalog -> Products
2. Click Add Product
3. Enter the Product Name as Miscellaneous
4. Select Standard Product
5. Click Add Product
6. On the Edit Product page, scroll to the Inventory section
7. Uncheck Track Inventory for this product
8. Click Save

How to change the price of an item on the Sell Screen

Why do I see a negative discount when I run a Sales Report?

• Editing the price of a product on the sell screen will affect discount reporting:
  • Increasing the price of a product will register as a negative discount
  • Decreasing the price will register as a positive discount.
