Problem

When trying to update your product list using a csv, xlsx or xls file you receive an error saying you have duplicate variants.

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC

Cause

You will receive this error when you have 2 or more variants in a product which have exactly the same attributes. These attributes are referred to in the spreadsheet file as variant option values.

Solution

There are two different approaches to this issue:

A) Differentiate the variants using different variant values (cerulean blue, aquamarine, Navy blue, etc)

B) Differentiate the variants by using different variant names (Style, Size, etc)
