Objective
Set up a static IP Address on your receipt printer to resolve connectivity issues
Setup
- Retail POS for Mac or PC
- Retail POS on iPad
- Epson LAN or WiFi receipt printer
Steps
Printing current network configuration
- Turn off the printer at the switch
- Hold down the feed button, then turn it back on whilst still holding down the feed button
- Release the feed button when it starts to print
- Confirm the printer IP address on the receipt and note it down. An example IP address would be: 192.168.0.2
Setting Static IP Address
- Open your web browser and type in the Epson printer’s IP address into the URL field
- Log into the Epson WebConfig Utility using these credentials; User: epson, Password: epson
- On the left-hand side menu, click Configuration
- Click Network and then select TCP/IP
- The current IP Address configuration should autofill in
- If the current IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default gateway do not autofill, manually type in the network configuration obtained from the printer as explained above
- Change the Get IP Address setting to Manual
- Click Submit
- Click Reset and wait for the printer to restart
