Objective

Set up a static IP Address on your receipt printer to resolve connectivity issues 

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC
• Retail POS on iPad
• Epson LAN or WiFi receipt printer

Steps

Printing current network configuration

1. Turn off the printer at the switch
2. Hold down the feed button, then turn it back on whilst still holding down the feed button
3. Release the feed button when it starts to print
4. Confirm the printer IP address on the receipt and note it down. An example IP address would be: 192.168.0.2 

Setting Static IP Address

1. Open your web browser and type in the Epson printer’s IP address into the URL field
2. Log into the Epson WebConfig Utility using these credentials; User: epson, Password: epson
3. On the left-hand side menu, click Configuration 
4. Click Network and then select TCP/IP
5. The current IP Address configuration should autofill in
6. If the current IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default gateway do not autofill, manually type in the network configuration obtained from the printer as explained above
7. Change the Get IP Address setting to Manual
8. Click Submit
9. Click Reset and wait for the printer to restart
