Deactivating a product means that it cannot be sold and it will be automatically excluded from inventory counts.

How to activate or deactivate products in bulk

Activating products

1. Navigate to Catalog -> Products
2. Filter by the status Inactive
3. Click Search
4. Select the checkboxes next to the products you would like to activate/deactivate
5. Click Choose an Action
6. Select Activate Product... from the drop-down list 
7. In the dialogue box that opens, click Activate Products

Deactivating products

1. Navigate to Catalog -> Products
2. Filter by the status Active
3. Click Search
4. Select the checkboxes next to the products you would like to activate/deactivate
5. Click Choose an Action
6. Select Deactivate Product... from the drop-down list 
7. In the dialogue box that opens, click Deactivate Products

How activate or deactivate single products

If you would like to just activate or deactivate a single product, you can still use the toggle switch under the 'active' column on the product page.

1. Click Products
2. Find the product you want to deactivate on the list
3. Click the green toggle button to the right of the product
4. The product will now be deactivated
