Objective

For Retail POS to be able to communicate with your Ingenico Desk or Move 5000 using Elavon Payments services, your terminal needs to be set to 'Semi-Integrated' mode and the terminal ports should have the right configuration.

Steps

Enabling Semi-Integrated Mode on the Desk / Move 5000 payment terminal:

1. If the upper right corner select the icon (cash drawer or terminal) and it will prompt you to enter semi-integrated mode. (if this fails proceed below). 
2. Select the # key on the terminal pad 
3. Enter in the Admin name
4. Enter in the Admin password 
5. On the Admin menu, select 8-Misc. Options
6. Select 1-Semi-Integrated
7. Select 1-Enable Semi-Integ
8. Select 2-On

Configuring the communication type:

1. In the same admin menu 8-Misc. Options Select 1-Semi-Integrated
2. Select 2-Communication Type
3. Select Ethernet (Desk) or WiFi (Move)
4. Enter in 8150 for the port number (hit the yellow key to erase any existing input)
5. Select the green key

Configuring the communication type:

1. In the same admin menu 8-Misc. Options Select 1-Semi-Integrated
2. Select 3-Receipt Options
3. Select 2- Terminal

Additional Information

If semi-integrated is disabled, you will not be able to process payments directly from Retail POS and only the standalone payment will run.
