Objective

Order products by volume (such as liters) and sell them by fixed quantities (for example 1kg, 2kg, etc.) using a standard product for your per volume quantities and composite products for your fixed weight quantities.

Setup

• Retail POS for Mac or PC

Steps

1. Navigate to Catalog -> Products
2. Click Add product
3. Click Enter product name (under Name)
4. Type in the name of your per volume product (for example water liters)
5. Click the field under the words Supply Price
6. Type in a supply price
7. Optionally fill in any other fields you want to on the product
8. Click Save
   
   
9. Click Add Product
10. Click Enter product name (under Name)
11. Type in the name of your fixed weight product (for example water 1kg)
12. Click Composite Product (scroll halfway down the page and you will see these words in a square)
13. Click the field to the right of the words Retail Price
14. Optionally fill in any other fields you want to on the product
15. Click Save
16. You are now ready to sell your fixed weight quantity product

For merchants using integrations such as WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Shopify, weight and dimension product information do not synch to your products, and merchants won't have access to the weight and dimension feature on the Edit Product page.
