Can the BigCommerce "Pay in Store" payment method be processed through the sell screen?

Can a BigCommerce order with a "Pay in Store" payment method be processed through the Retail POS (X-Series) sell screen when a customer arrives to pick up and pay for their order?

Answer

No. Retail POS does not support the BigCommerce "Pay in Store" payment method.

A BigCommerce order that was processed with "Pay in Store" will sync to Retail POS as "Closed" with a confirmed payment. In other words, the order will be marked as paid and the product will be removed from your inventory, even though your customer has not paid for or claimed their order.

To avoid inventory and reporting discrepancies, we recommend that you require your customers to pay online when placing an order at your BigCommerce store.
