It's important to follow security best practices and take steps to keep your Retail POS account secure to help protect your business online, including setting up strong, unique, private, and secure passwords and enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) on all Admin accounts.
Using unique passwords and implementing MFA for all of your accounts, including email accounts, Retail POS, and financial institutions, ensures that if one account is compromised, other accounts remain secure.
Resetting your Retail POS password
If you can’t log in to your Retail POS account and need to reset your password:
- Navigate to the Retail POS login page from the official link: https://www.lightspeedhq.com/login/
-
Click Forgot your password?.
-
Enter your username and click Send email. A password reset email will be sent to the user's registered email address.
If you are the Account owner, your username is your email address. Other user roles may have either a username or email address as their username. To reset a password, the associated email address must be verified. A Verify your email email would have been sent to that address when the user was first created.
- Click the Reset password link in the email.
- Enter a new password in the password fields. The entries must match.
- Click Create password.
